Kylie's third single release from her 'Light as a Feather' album is a co-write with much celebrated lyricist and bush poet John Seers.

The Willow Weeps For Me' features on the Balladeers Vol 24 which is out now.

John Seers approached Kylie at the Bedgerabong Country Music Campout, 

where she was featured as an artist in 2017.

He asked her if she would like to have a look at some of his songs he had written. She selected her favourites to take home and a few years later 'The Willow Weeps For Me' made Kylie's new album.

Willows have featured in Kylie's life many times. In her hometown of Bellingen there were once giant willow trees by the Bellinger River. A willow tree branch saved her life when she was being swept down the river during a flood.

Kylie's first band in 1987 was called 'The Willows.' John's lyrics are beautifully descriptive of love lost, interwoven with the Australian birds and bush.

Kylie's music has a bluegrass influence on this track. ’The Willow Weeps For Me’ was favourably reviewed as the ‘best track on the album’ by radio presenter Lorraine Pfitzner.
